Schloss Wissen, the ancestral seat of the von Loë family, is one of the most well-known aristocratic residences on the Lower Rhine. The extensive palace complex looks back on centuries of history, which began in the 12th and 13th centuries. Century with the construction of a defense tower (today's southern wing of the main building). Over the centuries, the main house was supplemented by a three-winged outer bailey and repeatedly adapted to the taste of the time.

Schloss Wissen owes its current form to a comprehensive restoration between 1969 and 1973. Some of the spacious, extensively restored rooms such as the White Salon and the Large Dining Room can now be used for conferences, weddings, company celebrations, family celebrations or team events. The historical water mill is located in front of the castle gates.
