The Viaduct Froschgrundsee is a 798 meter long twin-rail railway bridge over the new line Ebensfeld-Erfurt. It is the longest railway arch bridge in Europe with a span of 270 meters with the same span as the neighboring Grümpentalbrücke.

The Froschgrundsee is a flood retention basin for the protection of the city of Coburg.
