A good starting point for hikes in all directions, located directly on the Rennsteig Trail. For example, Rennsteig tours toward Neuhaus or Friedrichshöhe. Or to the Weidmannsheil lookout point, the Schwarzaquelle spring, and the Scheibe-Alsbach reservoir. Easily accessible via the country road from Neuhaus/Rennweg toward Limbach.

You will find this lovingly crafted signpost right next to the "Steinheider Hut" on Sandwieschen near Scheibe-Alsbach. It is also an official signpost for the Rennsteig, one of the most beautiful long-distance hiking trails.
