To avoid the hot gravel Blue Metal Road and the speeding trail cyclists the ACT Government rangers have made a track through the shady trees on the other side of the series of small dams that progress below Mt Majura and the Ridge leading to Mt Ainslie. In wetter times, the dams are an excellent spot to see the local wildlife.
