On the highest mountain of the Krausnicker mountains stands the 28 m high tower, one has a great view of the biosphere reserve Spreewald. In good weather you can see the Berlin TV tower.

At a height of 144 meters above sea level, the Wehlaberg is the highest peak in the Krausnick Mountains in Brandenburg. The mountain is located in the biosphere reserve Spreewald, south leads the cucumber bike path. To the north lies the village of Köthen on Köthener See, south of the village Krausnick. At the summit is a wooden lookout tower built in 2003. From the 28 meter high tower one has a wide view over the Krausnicker mountains and the Heideseen extending to the north. To the west is the hall of the Tropical Islands. In good visibility, the Berlin TV Tower can be seen in the north.

The observation tower is worth a visit. You have a good view of the surrounding area.
The tower itself is in good condition with seating on the mezzanines.
There are several bike racks in front of the tower. Only the last few meters to the tower are a bit steep though.
