Paungda Danda is one of the sacred mountains for Nepalese. Its height is relatively unimportant, as it 'only' reaches 4,755 metres. This mountain, called Heaven's Gate is important from a religious point of view. The souls of the dead, in fact, leave their bodies on earth and climb the Paungda Danda to reach heaven. Out of respect for religion there is, therefore, a total ban on climbing this mountain.

Known as "Heavens Gate" (up to 4895 m), this very prominent rock formation is a real eye-catcher, it seems as if you could walk the gently rising slopes up into the sky.
