The 22.4 km² large Selenter See is the second largest lake in Schleswig-Holstein and is also known for its abundance of fish. There are eels, perch, pike, vendace and roach in the lake.
The Moltkörper / Selent bathing area is located in the nature reserve and offers space for everyone. There is a large lawn, a bathing jetty and this bathing area is also very popular with surfers.

Very idyllic lake with swimming and surfing. The playground located at the bathing area "Big and small fish - habitat Selenter lake" is a nice destination. He is part of the game adventure world Baltic coast Schleswig-Holstein (schoenberg.de/spielerlebniswelt.html)

A MUST for every tour - the detour is worth it! In addition to a great view of the lake and a beautiful playground, there is SUPER delicious homemade cakes and waffles in the bathhouse next door - HIGHLY recommended!

We found this idyllic place only by accident. A small sign on the main street in Selent. A visit is worthwhile, because the very friendly staff at the beach cafe we could get delicious coffee and cake!
