Rochemaure is a medieval village steeped in history. Its geographical location in the Rhône Valley, adjacent to the Drôme River, makes it a strategic location. Another unique feature of this characterful village is its exceptional landscape heritage. It is located at the foot of the Coiron Plateau mountains and an ancient volcano: Chenavari. It is one of the Ardèche villages with the most traces of its past. It boasts a significant historical heritage, with its 12th-century castle, 13th-century chapel, church, and 19th-century suspension bridge.
