The Schlaube is a river in the east of Brandenburg and flows through the Schlauberinne. Documented the Schlaube was already mentioned in 1275 and 1336 as Slube. Further spellings can be found: 1370 Slûbe, 1471 Inn of Slavenn, 1516 Schlube and 1570 auffder Schlaube or 1751 the Schlubbe. Probably the basic form of the name comes from the Sorbian Slubníca. However, it is unclear whether there has been an influence in naming by a flow, which is today called Old Fawn.

n the sources south of the lake Wirchenbergen spring two springs small rivulets, which unite in the Wirchenwiesen. As a trick, the river winds over a length of about 14 kilometers through partly steep, up to 30 meters deep canyons.

In its total of 27 kilometers long run it flows through the Wirchensee, east of the Ziskensee over into the Great Treppelsee, the Hammersee, the Small Schinkensee, the Great Schinkensee, the Langesee, the Schulzenwasser, past the Belenzsee to which there is a connection. Then the fool reaches the Great Müllroser Lake and finally flows into the Müllroser Kietz in the Kleine Müllroser See
