The Starkholzbacher See near Schwäbisch Hall is a great bathing lake. It has a sunbathing lawn and a bathing jetty. Not far from the lake is the Gipsmühle restaurant, which originally dates from 1866.
The recent history of the lake is also interesting. Due to the fish kill in 2007, the lake was completely drained and restored as a local recreation area a few years ago.

Just right for a short break. By the lake itself there are a couple of benches, tables and a barbecue area.
There is also a small management at the parking lot. Depending on the weather and season. There is also a toilet there.
