ハイキング
The tower overlooks the Aekingerbroek swamp area, the origin of the Vledder Aa. In the 1950s, this stream was straightened and made deeper for agriculture. This caused the (rain)water to flow away faster. Unfortunately, a lot of flora and fauna also disappeared. Today the stream has been restored to its original meandering state and nature is recovering.
