The castle Landskron, also called ruin Landskrone, is the ruin of a high medieval hill fort at the town of Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler in the district of Ahrweiler in Rhineland-Palatinate (Germany). The hill castle is the seat of the Burggraves of Landskron and played a significant role in the clashes between Staufers and Welfs.

The ascent from the train station Heimersheim might be a little bit difficult, but afterwards the view towards the Eifel and the Rhineland is worth the little effort because afterwards Flach goes to Oberwinter and down to the Rhine. Final stop at the Arp Museum Simply wonderful 👍
