The 17.5 meter high observation tower made of local oak was built on an eye-shaped floor plan, which earned it the nickname “wooden eye”. On the way up there are several viewing platforms. The platform with all-round visibility is 13 meters high and allows a direct view of the treetops. Around 80 oaks, each around 100 years old, were used. They came from the Arnstein forestry enterprise, which also includes the Guttenberger forest.
