        The small, dreamy town of Marienlampe is located directly on the sea in the north-east of Fehmarn and is known as the most north-eastern point in Schleswig-Holstein. To the east of the neighboring town of Puttgarden and the ferry station, you can reach the holiday destination via a single street, the Marienglüher Weg. Marienlampe is therefore a cul-de-sac village, which offers little traffic, but the sound of the sea around the clock.

        The resort is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet. Those who enjoy fishing should try surf fishing here. With a bit of luck you might catch a plaice or a cod on a line. Fresh fish is also available in Puttgarden, 2 km away, where localities such as the steep coast restaurant offer fine dining. Here you will also find a bike rental service if you don't have your own bike with you. Cycle paths lead from Marienlampe in the direction of Presen, Klausdorf and Katharinenhof.

        Of course, Marienlampe with its natural beach is also ideal for families. If the weather doesn't invite you to go swimming, there are shopping opportunities and entertainment for the youngest vacationers in the main town of Burg, about 7 km away.

        Thanks to its location, Marienlampe is perfect for a beach holiday. The quiet natural beach is mostly pebbly, but gets sandy further north. The flat, sandy beach west of Puttgarden is busier, but also offers parking and food.

        The most famous sight of the town is the Marienlampe lighthouse. It is still used today as a cross mark and orientation light in the Fehmarnbelt. The red and white striped structure is visible from afar at a height of 40 meters. In 1964, the tower was built of reinforced concrete, replacing its predecessor, a square tower made of yellow brick masonry. The old building was built by the Danes in 1831 and is now a listed building.

        The ferry station in Puttgarden is also worth seeing. Here you can take a spontaneous trip to Denmark with the ferry line Scandlines. The ferry docks in Rødby. From here you can explore the island of Lolland or learn about the history of the small port town in the merchants' houses. Back in Puttgarden, a detour to the Border Shop is worthwhile. The floating department store offers both German and Danish luxury goods and confectionery.
