Langenhain is a district of the town of Waltershausen in the Gotha district in Thuringia with around 900 inhabitants. Langenhain is located on the northern edge of the Thuringian Forest, about two kilometers west of Waltershausen and about 15 kilometers southwest of Gotha and 20 kilometers southeast of Eisenach. Over the Langenhain you can drive up this path through the Lauchaer Grund, through Bad Tabarz, either with a direct and constant view of the Inselsberg. Or use this path as a descent from the Inselberg into the valley. I prefer the second alternative.
