bring water, sunglasses and have the sun exposure under control (sun cream or long sleeves, something for the head and neck). the segment between the lakes is on rocks/boulders and can be quite demanding make sure you have mountain shoes, not some shitty city snickers :)

We wanted to take the walk (Easter holidays), but unfortunately we ended up during road works. The road was closed (5 km from the start of the walk). The bridge to the walk has collapsed. There may be another possibility, but we haven't found it.

This is a nice mid-trail eye-catcher as you come over the ridge from the Cascades des Anglais. You can see the ruins from afar.

It is highly recommended to come here by train. However, it is highly recommended to get the last train back, otherwise you are like us...

This path continues from a much higher, also very beautiful crest path. By the way, be careful: the path does NOT continue in the direction of Vizzavona, even if Komoot makes you believe it. The path just doesn't exist.

Get out of the dark forest! Nice trail along the ridge with nice panoramic views.

Small, typical Corsican train station. Ticket sales counter available. Attention: GR20 North graduates get on here. It can get a bit cozy, especially in the high season :)
