Very nice hike. Take the wide, stony track that keeps climbing for the Saut du Goat and don't take the path that runs along the river, the wooden barricade closed on certain days by the way?!?!. Saut du Goat: beautiful place between the rocks with a beautiful waterfall. You have to earn it. The descent is then along the river. More sporty in places on the rock face by a 🐐 path.

Caution: We recommend only walking as far as the beautiful view. After that, the descent becomes very difficult. We were there in April, and the path down in the valley was barely passable due to the river and its strong current. The water was leg-deep in places, and the paths hadn't been used for a long time. At the end, there was a long dirt road with lots of mud. It's definitely better in the summer :)

Magnificent church in the center of Nans

Nans-les-Pins is a charming Provencal village located at the foot of the Sainte-Baume massif and Mount Olympe. However, we are not in Greece. There is indeed a Mount Olympus in Provence. Forming part of a small mountain range, this eminence is located between this commune and the town of Trets. It is very interesting to visit the ruins of Old Nans overlooking the current village. Don't miss the little detour to the source of the Huveaune either. Change of scenery guaranteed!

The climb was demanding, but very, very beautiful. The view and also the location at the chapel and at the summit cross are really recommended. We then descended along the evenly descending path through pine and oak forests lined with wild juniper, thyme and rosemary. Simply wonderful 🤩

Superb panorama on Tourves and all the surroundings. The climb from the stadium is steep but passable. Possibility to join the Caramy gorges or to bypass by a less steep but longer route. With a little luck, once at the top you will come across Séraphin, who lives as a hermit in Saint Probace all year round: he will gladly show you around the chapel, unfortunately closed in his absence following damage.

To the south of the village of Tourves and enthroned on a hill, remains an old hermitage that has long been abandoned: Saint-Probace! From here, a very nice view of the forest

Brignolles is an old medieval town in the Var department with narrow streets, several squares and many cafes. It is located in a good place to access other areas of the region.
