During the summer months, the Weißensee Swimming Pool, opened in 1934, is a popular attraction for residents and visitors of the town of Weißensee. Located directly next to the campsite, the attractive location and spacious design of the swimming complex offer fun and relaxation for young and old. In addition to a swimming pool with a total water surface of 750 square meters, visitors seeking peace and relaxation will find a relaxation area and play area. The play area features two volleyball courts. A children's pool is also available. Food and beverages are available for purchase at the pool. The pool is open from May to September.

Again a very impressive church.

The village church was built in 1512 and dedicated to St. Wigbert. The core of the tower base dates from before 1300. In 1885, the late medieval nave and choir were demolished and replaced by a new building. The church tower of the previous church was incorporated into the neo-Gothic church building. The new church was consecrated in 1889. An inadequate foundation of the choir led to deformations with wide cracks in the masonry. The Bilzingsleben site is an exceptional archaeological and paleoanthropological site in northern Thuringia. The finds were dated to be 400,000 years old and attributed to Homo erectus. They are among the earliest traces of the Homo genus in Central Europe. The site is located about 1.5 km south of the town of Bilzingsleben on the edge of the Wipper valley. The surface of the former "Steinrinne" quarry is about 35 m above the current floodplain and at 175 m above sea level.
