For nature lovers, Arenholzer Lake offers opportunities for bird watching. According to eBird, 35 species of birds have been documented in the region. Hikers can walk around the lake on an easy, approximately 5.3 km long route.

Lake Arenholz (Schleswig-Flensburg district) is a popular destination for anglers, especially for pike fishing. Certain fishing conditions apply, such as a limit of a maximum of three fishing rods per participant and fishing only from the shore.

There are many small dog bathing areas and a larger bathing area with a bench. .

The north bank with the mouth of the Bockseebach has a perfect sun orientation towards the Arenholzer Lake. The idyllic path leads slightly elevated along the lake shore.

This is the most beautiful bathing spot on Lake Arenholz. The green meadow with a sunny south-facing orientation extends into the clear water and there are several wooden benches for bathing pleasure.
