You can eat, drink, and refill water there. A beautiful bivouac environment.

Very friendly refuge. A warm welcome, good food, comfortable and clean rooms, and reasonable rates. Perfect for recharging your batteries during a long hike in the magnificent Canigou massif.

There are still bed bugs (punaises de lit) in this cabin. We don't sleep here. There are also mice living in the cabin - at least there is droppings on the beds and we saw a few around. Luckily there is just enough space between the well and the table for a two-person tent. Not ideal, but better than sleeping inside 😀

This old, unguarded refuge is still in good condition. It is perched on a privileged location, on a balcony, offering superb panoramas of Vernet-les-Bains on the north-west slope of Canigou. It is open all year round to hikers.
