A superb Corrèze village that has been awarded the "most beautiful village in France" label. The village was part of the Viscounty of Turenne and developed from the 11th century onwards.

This campsite is located halfway between Beaulieu and Argentat, directly on the Dordogne River. The pitches are spacious and mostly under shady trees. Along the banks, you can take a dip in the water in some spots or watch the canoes/kayaks tackling the rapids—sorry, isn't it? 🤭 The restrooms are a bit older, but clean and very well maintained. The abbey church of the former Benedictine monastery in Beaulieu dates back to the 12th century. Romanesque at its finest. The south portal is particularly impressive, with its detailed tympanum depicting Christ with his disciples. The adjoining bell tower dates from the 14th century.
