Saving stop for a break at the water’s edge before the climb…

Superb view of the Garabit viaduct, allowing you to cross the Truyère gorges. This metal structure, created by Gustave Eiffel, is 565 meters long and rises to 122 meters above the water. It was at one time the “highest viaduct in the world”!

The small village of Ally, perched at an altitude of 1000 meters, gives its name to the charming but little-known Ally plateau, dotted with old mills.

The village of Massiac is part of the “Villages Etapes”, a network listing municipalities which offer passing visitors a multitude of shops and services in a pleasant setting. Bathed in an almost Mediterranean climate. The village is located in the heart of the Alagnon valley.

Ruynes-en-Margeride is recognizable from afar thanks to its 12th century tower. The latter houses the Margeride eco-museum as well as the garden of Saint-Martin. The beautiful fountain located on Place Gambetta is also to be discovered.
