Beautiful castle on the banks of the Seine

The cycle path is flat and perfect, but it is also very busy with visitors to Giverny, walkers, families on walks, runners. Don't expect to do a speedy run there, it's just for the ride and to connect Vernon and Giverny without taking the main road.

This section of the trail leads idyllically through meadows and vineyards above Giverny and offers a wonderful view of the green, gently rolling landscape of Normandy. Between the well-tended vines you will always find places that are perfect for a short break. The vineyards stretch along the path and are an ideal place to enjoy the peace and quiet of the surroundings. On clear days the view extends down into the picturesque valleys and with a little luck you will also spot the church tower of a small village that blends harmoniously into the landscape. The combination of untouched nature and the planted vines offers a special atmosphere that makes the trail an experience for all the senses.

The Vieux Moulin is a former water mill, which has become emblematic of the town of Vernon in Eure, on the edge of the right bank of the Seine.

The Château des Tourelles is a 13th century building located in Vernon in the department of Eure in Normandy. It has been classified as a historical monument since January 1945.

The Giverny vines are a wine-growing treasure nestled in Normandy. The bucolic landscape with their rows of verdant vineyards and rolling hills inspired the painter Claude Monet, whose residence is nearby. These vineyards produce wines based on chardonnay, pinot noir and gamay.
