Bring binoculars to better observe the many different birds and animals at Kranichwoog! Also, there are numerous well-designed information panels and a flyer about the "Natura 2000 Kranichwoog Adventure Trail" with lots of explanations! An interesting and natural forest. The branches lie untidy between the trees. I noticed that there are a lot of birch trees growing here.

In order to enable the animals at Kranichwoog to be observed from a safe distance, it was decided in January 2021 to build an observation tower on the edge of the area.

The tunnel is not a tunnel but an underpass (according to the standard, underpasses are not considered tunnel structures if they were built using the open construction method and are shorter than 80 meters), but that's just a side note. It's not a highlight either way.

The Woog & its history: The Scheidenberger Woog, a large lake, was located in what is now Bruch for centuries. The Glan reservoir was drained in 1770 to dry out the Bruch. The Kranichwoog has only existed since 2019; it was created as part of the land consolidation. NATURA 2000 adventure trail & crane tower: The NATURA 2000 adventure trail has existed since 2024 with some information boards along the way. There are also QR codes; if you scan them, you can listen to Rudi the crane telling stories about the path and nature. The Kranichwoog (crane tower) adventure tower has also existed since 2024.
