Built at the beginning of the 16th century, the magnificent Herm Castle, in Gothic style, is today in ruins. It has been under renovation since 2020, after being abandoned for years. Yellow/white sandy and rocky road over e little ridge with wonderful views all around. A must ride for both travelers and road bikes (although 28 mm tires minimum is a plus as there are a few rough rocky bits).

It starts a bit exciting (from Fleurac), steep and with large boulders, and it feels like you are cycling into a continuous end, but then you come back to a very nice gravel segment and finally back to the main road, a backroad that you definitely must take!
