The "Old Mill" stood here until 1983. The last miller, Xaver Meindorfer, continued to grind grain into flour in it until 1928. The property with a house, barn, oven and cottage garden remained in the family for another 45 years and was still inhabited. In 1983 the building collapsed under the weight of snow. In 1995 the facility was rebuilt and a grain mill was relocated to the place of the original "old mill". This new mill came here in a roundabout way, namely from East Tyrol. It was probably built in the Pustertal in the first half of the 19th century, then transferred to the Massing open-air museum in 1976 and finally came to the St. Englmar spa gardens in 1995.
