The structure stretches over the railway tracks in a sweeping arch. It is made of large sandstone blocks. The Ravensberg coat of arms with the three rafters adorns the keystone on the southern side of the bridge, the coat of arms of the Prince-Bishopric of Minden with the two crossed keys adorns the keystone on the northern side of the bridge. A wrought iron railing spans the entire length of the bridge on both sides. The “New Mill” railway bridge is a special feature of the Rödinghausen community’s monuments in that it is still completely unchanged in its original state.
