The Arctic Circle Monument was erected in 1990 as part of the opening of the Arctic Circle Center on the E6 highway. It stands directly in front of the entrance to the center and bears the latitude 66*33' North, which indicates the course of the Arctic Circle.

Great accommodation with good facilities and very friendly staff. You can pitch your tent on the meadow and use the service rooms for a small fee. Overnight stay 420 krone per person.

Very nice excursion destination. It is a short walk in mixed terrain. It goes over stones, roots, branches, etc. You should be sure-footed and wear sturdy shoes. At the end of the path there is a beautiful view and a shelter from the weather with a fireplace. A beautiful canyon and simply impressive. Very beautiful and fascinating place. We had the place all to ourselves. Definitely worth a visit if you are nearby.
