Mikulov is a town in the South Moravian region of the Czech Republic. It is located directly on the border with Lower Austria. There is a border crossing between Mikulov and Drasenhofen in Austria, seven kilometers to the south.

Nice fortress ruin overseeing the Thaya. Unfortunately, it's not allowed to drive a bike in the park, so we had to leave the bikes at the park entrance and do some hiking to get there. It's rather steep too, so biking would not have been such a great idea anyway. 😅

A very nice place with a view of Pálava, Pavlov and the surrounding area. VN Nové Mlýny is also in the palm of your hand. For a fee: there is a cash desk at the entrance. However, a QR code for online payment is published here. The ruin is otherwise freely accessible!
