The church is no longer used as a religious building and its interior is largely empty. However, there is a good flyer about Winsum (also in German) explaining the town's attractions.

Beautiful historical place. The old church of the village Obergum, merged into the village Winsum.

Chic little Dutch village on the Winsumerdiep. Many old, well-preserved houses and farms can be admired.

The golden carp is the starting point of stage 2 of the walking route 'het Pieterpad' from Winsum to Groningen. Or, if you walk the other way around from the last stage to Pieterburen

A nice place for a cup of coffee or tea before, during or after the walk.

The Wetsingerzijl is a double-locking lock in the municipality of Het Hogeland in the Dutch province of Groningen. The Zijl is located in the Wetsingermaar, just before the outlet into the Reitdiep. The Zijl has no longer had any function since 1969 and is therefore always open.
