Very nice mill

A typical Dutch windmill. Easily accessible on foot via a footpath on the edge of beautiful Veere.

A very beautiful mill on the outskirts of Veere. The mill in Veere is called De Koe and is located at Warwijcksestraat 16 in Veere. It is located on the former mill bastion in the west of Veere. It is a gallery mill from 1909, which was in operation until 1964. The mill was commissioned by Jacob Willem Markusse after his old mill, dating from 1736, burned down in 1907. Nice tour along the canal!

Good cafes and nice walks along the coast. Also the church which dominates is worth a visit.

Souburg Swing Bridge The Souburg Swing Bridge (Dutch: Draaibrug Souburg or Brug Souburg) is a pedestrian bridge over the Canal door Walcheren. It connects East Souburg with West Souburg in the Dutch municipality of Vlissingen, province of Zeeland. Originally built in 1871 as a half-timbered structure, the swing bridge was destroyed in World War II in 1944 and rebuilt with its current superstructure in 1947. It also served as a road bridge until 1978. It has been listed as a National Monument since 1997 and was extensively restored in 2014.
