The beech from Todtshorn, also called Tilly or Napoleon beech, stood here from the 30th year war until 1948. In 1870, the circumference of the tribe was said to be 10 meters at the base, the crown was said to have been 22 meters in circumference, it says on the memorial stone.

Memorial stone of the beech of Todtshorn The Book of Todt Horn is also known as Tilly Beech or Napoleon Beech. The vernacular tells that stood at this point a stately beech, which should have had an impressive size at the time of the Thirty Years' War. In the poem The Book of Death Horn describes Friedrich Freudenthal around 1900: She defied both Napoleon and Tilly, the Swedish hordes and the Cossacks. From the top of the 100m distant, 79m high Todtshorner mountain you have a strategically good view into the surrounding countryside. In 1972, the beech was part of the coat of arms of the municipality Otter.
