The central viewing point on the Totengrund with a memorial stone to Prof. Thomsen. The view of the glacial valley from here is probably the most beautiful, but it is also the busiest, as the easiest way to get there from Wilsede is via the Hermann-Löns-Weg. In addition to hikers/walkers, there are also many cyclists, so you will rarely be alone here. A quick visit is still worthwhile because of the view.

Undeloh the charming village in the Harburg district When the heather blooms from August, this patch of earth (Lüneburg Heath Nature Reserve, here Nordheide) turns into a shining sea of purple heather. In the middle of it all lies the town of “Undeloh”. For us, one of the most beautiful places in the heath with its extensive forests and picturesque landscapes. Tall oak trees, half-timbered courtyards and historic buildings characterize the Heidedorf. There is something for young and old. PS: Some paths are purely hiking trails and cycling is not permitted there. In many ways it is difficult to do thanks to the “Roman road surface”.

The Undeloh Heide Adventure Center in the Lüneburg Heath is open all year round from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. A visit is worth it all year round, whatever the weather. Great view. However, not recommended if you walk across the jetty with a bicycle and trailer. Oncoming people with bicycles (or prams, wheelchair users) can hardly be avoided. The bridge is just extremely narrow.
