Here is the large new visitor center of the Locher / Appenzellerbier brewery. Very well done inside and out. With tasting, sales, and a tour of the integrated Locher Craft Brewery (with its own specialty beers). A must visit if you are in Appenzell.

Beautifully located mountain inn with delicious food and cozy rooms... From the terrace you have a wonderful view of the Hohen Kasten and the Appenzell region... From here you can take a scooter to Brülisau for 16 SFR (as of August 2024)
