This winding woodland lane crosses the River Deben and is lined with trees. It passes Ashe Abbey, a large Tudor half-timbered house located by the river on the site of the former Campsey Priory.

Snape Malting is a renowned arts and cultural complex set within a former maltings building by the River Alde. It offers a variety of galleries, shops, and performance spaces, including the famous Snape Maltings Concert Hall. It's definitely worth stopping here for a coffee if you have time.

Simple but convenient station cafe, handy if you're arriving or departing by train.

For fans of the BBC comedy, Framlingham was the filming location for many scenes, including Lance’s flat. Mags’ shop is in the Market square and the pub is the Castle Inn.

Opening hours Wednesday to Saturday 09:00 -16:00 Sunday 09:00 - 14:00 There is nowhere to secure a bike at the front, but after asking was able to store at the rear garden area of cafe via the side lane.

Set amidst expansive parkland and a charming lake, Framlingham Castle has witnessed fascinating periods of history. The castle is managed by English Heritage and is well worth a visit. Even if you don't stop by, you can admire the views from the roadside – it's a very impressive sight!

Great place to stop, friendly staff and quick service. There was a nice selection of drinks and homemade cakes on offer, at a very reasonable price too. The only negative was that cycle parking was at the entrance to car park near the road which was away from the indoor and outdoor seating area's. I was able to lock my bicycle to the outer rails near the ramp after seeking permission.
