ヴィッテンベルクのエルベ川沿いの遊歩道は、産業的な港湾地区から近代的なレクリエーションエリアへと変貌を遂げました。改修された中央税関のような歴史的建造物と緑地を結びつけ、エルベ川の眺めを提供しています。集中的な再設計を経て、今日では「エルベ谷への玄関口」として街の新しい顔を形作っています。遊歩道周辺地域は、海運と産業発展（近くのミシン工場）と密接に関連していました。長い間空き家となり荒廃した後、包括的に修復された、遊歩道沿いの特徴的な建物です。都市開発の一環として、川岸は再整備され、現在では地元住民や観光客の遊歩道として利用されています。

The Hotel Haus Singer in Wittenberge is closely linked to the city's significant industrial history as a center of sewing machine production. Its name refers to the Singer Manufacturing Company, which established a large sewing machine factory in Wittenberge at the beginning of the 20th century, thus shaping the city's economic development in a lasting way. Later, production continued under the brand name Veritas at the VEB Nähmaschinenwerk Wittenberge (Wittenberge Sewing Machine Factory), resulting in the production of millions of sewing machines and making Wittenberge famous far beyond the region. Today, the Hotel Haus Singer consciously connects with this tradition, using its name and thematic references to commemorate the historical importance of the sewing machine industry. This is complemented by museums in the city that document the history of Singer and Veritas sewing machines, as well as the lives and work of the employees of that era. The building thus symbolizes the transformation from an industrial site to a place that combines history, accommodation, and cultural remembrance.

The Old Main Customs Office in Wittenberge dates back to the 19th century and served to monitor the flow of goods across the Elbe River. After years of disuse, it was renovated and converted into modern apartments, while preserving its historical appearance. The building remains a testament to Wittenberge's economic importance in Elbe River trade.

It provides plenty of shade in the summer, and has had top-quality asphalt for two years. The main road is not an alternative.

Normally, this Elbe crossing should be avoided by bike. Currently, however, there's almost no alternative. My breathtaking experience was that ALL trucks on the federal highway maintained a considerable distance or waited. Crossing the railway bridge is expected to be possible again from fall 2025.

The 1100 m long bridge is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2025.

A particularly colorful Art Nouveau building.

The "Four Seasons" House in Wittenberge was built in 1906 as an Art Nouveau residential and commercial building. Its colorful facade features artistic depictions of the four seasons, framed by floral and geometric ornaments. It is located on Schillerplatz on Johannes-Runge-Straße, in the historic Heisterbusch district, known for its Art Nouveau architecture with half-timbered gables, bay windows, ceramics, and stucco. Due to its intricate design, the building has gained supra-regional significance and is a popular subject for photographs near the train station.
