This tour is beautiful and highly recommended. We had a drink down in Lynmouth and went back up on the water slide. Then we went to Charly's in Lynton.

We didn't find the beach very nice today - it was rocky, a bit unkempt, and there were lots of dogs. But there were lots of restaurants around it! Maybe we were just unlucky? It didn't look anything like the photos we posted. The fact that the A-road runs right past it doesn't make it any better.

Down in Lynmouth, things get busy around the little harbor. There is a huge car park right next to the bridge, where the bus that goes from Ilfracombe to Minehead (open double-decker) also stops. There are numerous pubs and cafes, restaurants and souvenir shops. One attraction is the Glen Lyn Gorge (near the water fountain), which is worth the entrance fee if you've had enough of the hustle and bustle.

Oct 23: one way only, card payment only. 3.5 pounds per nose. At least uphill you can avoid a nasty climb, have fun and support this great little railway. There's also a café up in Lynton. Attention, the last train currently leaves at 5 p.m.!

It's a good idea to park your car down at Lynmouth harbor, there's almost always a space there. Then take the small train up or walk to the Nord Walk. Here is the entrance to the dream route to the Valley of rocks

This small sandy and rocky beach is flanked by the highest cliffs in England. There is a large parking area right above the beach, as well as a public toilet.

Moderate trail with some elevation and an amazing place the valley of the rocks. Can be accessed either by starting your walk from Lynton and Lynmouth following the sea view trail or directly drive to a nearest car park if you feel lazy 🤣, Once there enjoy the views

High elevation trail, good fitness and footwear a must.

The Valley of the Rocks is a rare opportunity to enjoy the spectacular coastal scenery of Exmoor by road. You can even drive a car through here. Impressive rock stacks tower above as you pedal through the valley. Watch out for the semi-wild goats who live here to assist with managing biodiversity through their grazing habits.

Combe Martin is a little village boasting a quiet beach cove and a harbour. Despite being small, Combe Martin's high street is a mile and a half long and once held the longest street party which is recorded as a Guinness World Record. There are plenty of places to eat and drink with seafood unsurprisingly being a speciality.

One of the most incredible natural features of the North Devon coastline, the Valley of Rocks is a dry valley with steep cliffs and sea views. As you walk through here, keep an eye out for feral goats nibbling plants on precipitous rocks and bounding about with no care for the dramatic drops below. The goats have lived here for hundreds of years, although had to be reintroduced in the 70s after extreme winters in the 60s decimated the population.
