17世紀の城の遺跡がストルール渓谷の上にあり、ステュアート家によって要塞化された邸宅として建てられました。外壁と角塔の一部だけが残っていますが、そのシルエットは道路からよく見え、村の端にある特徴的な地点を形成しています。川、丘、そしてニュータウンステュアートの歴史的な中心部を見渡せる静かな休憩場所です。

ニュータウン・スチュワート・ストーン・ブリッジは、6つの特徴的なアーチでムーン川を渡る、エレガントな18世紀の記念碑です。この頑丈な石造りの構造は、南へのルートの重要な結節点であるだけでなく、地域で最も美しい写真撮影スポットの1つでもあり、せせらぎの水と近くのスチュワート城の絵のように美しい景色を眺めることができます。

Omagh is the county town of County Tyrone which plays host to a number of festivals and events throughout the year. A market town, there are plenty of places to stop to eat or drink and you can't fail to notice the twin spires of Sacred Heart Church.

Newtownstewart is a historic village with Baronscourt Castle as a notable attraction. Nestled in the scenic Sperrin Mountains, it offers outdoor activities like hiking and boasts a heritage-rich atmosphere with well-preserved architecture.

Gortin Glen Forest Park is full of good trails and beautiful trees. There is a 5 mile scenic forest drive which is signposted and takes in all of the best views. With waterfalls, resident sika deer and a cafe at the centre of the park it makes an ideal detour from the road.

The Lover's Retreat is a beautiful spot, home to nesting herons. Some say it's name is taken from the lovers who used to hide within the branches of the weeping willow. There is also often a coffee van here which adds to its allure for cyclists pedaling through Omagh. It is also popular with dog walkers so be sure to keep an eye out for four legged friends.

As you pedal along the bike path tracing the Camowen River, keep an eye out for the water rushing over the weir.

Newtownstewart Bridge spans the Strule River on its way north to meet Fairy Water and Owenkillew.
