I drank from the fountain water during a run in the summer and tolerated it well. It was very refreshing :)

Some people think that the roof over such a bridge was only installed for historical or tourist reasons. But there is a very obvious practical reason. Bridges with roofs last much longer because the wood stays dry. Today's quick-build, economical wooden bridges, which can also be found in Kronach, start to mold and crumble after just 15 years. A bridge with a roof lasts at least 50 years - if the roof is well looked after. So a big thank you to *the initiators *the financiers *the designers and *the craftsmen who made this great bridge possible. I like the bridge very much not only because of the protective roof, but also because of the access ramp on both sides. Cyclists, people pushing strollers and wheelchair users are very grateful for it.

Towards the end of the 18th century, Schrammesmühle belonged to the Unterrodach community. The high court exercised the seniorate of Redwitz to a limited extent. If necessary, it had to hand over to the Bamberg Centamt Kronach. The Bayreuth Vogteiamt Seibelsdorf also claimed the high court. The Nagel-Oberlangenstadt manor was the landlord of the grinding and cutting mill.

On the "back" - the west side there is the city coat of arms. The view on District Court Street immediately catches the eye.
