The church in its current form and appearance was built in the late Gothic style around 1500. For the construction, tuff blocks from the former quarries in the nearby Mangfall valley and from the remains of the castle ruins, which stood between Oberwarngau and Osterwarngau, were mainly used. The church is surrounded by a fenced churchyard that drops steeply to the east and west. The late Gothic architectural style can be seen in the pointed arches of the windows and doors, but also in a three-part buttress in the middle of the west side and four smaller ones on the square tower about halfway up where the octagonal tower area is placed. The Taubenberg can basically also be driven with the Renner. Experience with natural roads is a prerequisite. Lots of sharp stones in the road - rode tubeless with 25mm. Whoever does it will be rewarded with a beautiful view!
