The branch church of St. Martin in Westenhofen, a municipality of Schliersee in the Upper Bavarian district of Miesbach, was built between 1734 and 1737. The church, which stands below the so-called Kirchbichl (church hill), is a protected architectural monument. St. Martin served as Schliersee's parish church until 1884. The new Baroque building was constructed incorporating the late Gothic tower from 1529. During the renovation from 1973 to 1975, the vault paintings were restored. The main hall, with its recessed, semicircular choir, is covered by a lunetted barrel vault over square pilasters. The frescoes, created in 1737 by an unknown artist, depict scenes from the legend of St. Martin. The high altar was created in 1878 by Johann Marggraff in Neo-Renaissance style. The side altars were built in 1635 and slightly altered in 1878. The Rococo pulpit features allegories of faith, hope, and love on the sounding board.
