The path along the right bank of the Vils River towards Vilstalsäge is currently closed because the next bridge is closed to all traffic, including pedestrians, due to the danger of collapse. Therefore, you unfortunately have to use the opposite road, which is sometimes busy (cars and cyclists). This alternative isn't particularly relaxing, especially with children.

The Hochalphütte is located at an altitude of 1,510 meters near the mountain station of the Breitenberg gondola. The hut is open in summer and winter and impresses with its rustic charm and large sun terrace. Here you can stop off for a cozy break during a hike and treat yourself to delicious hut dishes.
