The root path is great for little explorers, but once you get to the top the hut is more like a canteen. We are pretty spoiled by the Rohrkopfhütte and Drehhütte and you can't compare them to this one!

The Bannwaldsee is idyllically located in a nature reserve. From here you have great views of the Allgäu Alps. In summer the lake is also ideal for swimming. There is also a campsite if you want to stay longer.
