From here, one looks out over Zurich, a city that applied for the status of capital in 1848 but was unsuccessful. Instead, Bern became the federal city – deliberately so as not to concentrate power. Zurich subsequently developed into Switzerland's most important financial and economic center. This view serves as a reminder that influence does not arise where it is codified, but rather where movement, exchange, and distance remain possible.

Lake Zurich is beautiful. From here, you have a great view. In good weather, you can easily see the snow-capped mountain peaks. A unique panorama.

Lovely climb along quiet roads above Lake Zurich. You'll pass wildflower meadows, forests, and fields in the constant presence of the immense lake.

Cute town with a couple of outdoor coffee/tea shops where you can keep an eye on your bike while taking a break. Be careful with all the pedestrians however.
