Neo-Baroque hall building with retracted choir and baroque west tower from 1739

The stately building was built between 1735 and 1795.

It was built from 1727 to 1732 according to the plan of Straubing's master mason Jakob Ruesch on Romanesque foundations. The ceiling frescoes by Joseph Anton Merz from 1730 and 1731 have the story of Gamelbert and Uto as their theme.

A beautiful view of the Degenberg and Schopf and other mountains are possible here in the direction of Schwarzach.
