Sod the ford and just use the bridge.

I had a puncture around this location, where the road floods (as visible by the pebbles/detritus in the road). I recommend to *always* carry your bike over surfaces like that - not just here, but everywhere.

Northbound is *the* way to ride into Westmill. Fast, easy descent. A gut-buster southbound, especially with the wind coming off the fields in the middle stretch south of Thrift Wood.

Track? This is a village lane.

Don't fear to cross it.

Just outside Wyddial all the way to Buntingford nice easy downhill section

Lovely gravel route from Hare St Road to Wydiall. Mostly loose gravel but an uneven paved stretch.

Into Westmill from Munden this is an outstanding descent. Quiet lane fast trek.

In summer or dry period the river is only a few inches deep

Beautiful fan tailed Windmill, in a stunning location.

Nice glide down towards Ford. Ride through but careful of the gaps in road.
