Box wood was THE preeminent place to bury bodies in the 80s. It was deserted and very few people ever explored all of it. That changed with the building of Great Ashby in the late 90s though and most were dug up and burned in the large pit. You can still find bone fragments to this day

It is the A10 underpass so a little noisy at times but hasa few walking paths to and from it.

The road fords the River Ash here near Hadham Cross. There is a footbridge for pedestrians or cyclists who don't want wet feet.

Hardly garbage for cycling but each to their own. Might be on the wrong bike...

This whole stretch of bridleway is garbage for cycling - I recommend staying well away.
