Smooth fast gravel surface Byway, mostly flat straight lines with some technical bits thrown in. Recommended in dry conditions/maybe passable in the wet, too - with the right tyres/bike. 🚲 🚵

Easy going southbound and a massive downhill into Clapgate. A gut-buster northbound, as you're not out of the woods by a long chalk after your first massive climb. There's more to come, which isn't as bad, but is made so by the degree to which you haven't recovered from the initial climb at the time you reach the next, past the pub.

Lovely little Cafe in a nice spot by the River Lea. Food was reasonably priced and they do a meannn hotdog 🌭 I will visit again 🚴🏼‍♂️

great way to get into London. Follow this path to the River Lee towpath and get right into the heart of London without cars surrounding you.

A relatively quiet way out of Ware, easier eastbound than west due to the ground and wind.
