The Inn Valley Cycle Path runs near Völs, west of Innsbruck, along flat, paved paths directly along the Inn River. The route is ideal for leisurely cyclists and is well signposted throughout. It offers magnificent views of the surrounding mountains, especially the Nordkette range to the north. Highlights include the nearby Old Town of Innsbruck, the Rossau quarry lake, and the Völser Au nature reserve. With the train station in Völs, the route is also perfectly suited for bike-train combinations.

The Roman Catholic parish and pilgrimage church in Wilten is also called “Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception” or “Our Lady under the Four Pillars”. The church belongs to the diocese of Innsbruck. It is believed that Roman legionaries venerated an image of the Virgin Mary at the site of the basilica, and remains of a previous church from the 5th century were also found here. From the mid-13th century the church is mentioned as the Church of Our Lady, which became a place of pilgrimage. In 1957 the basilica was given the gift of Pope Pius XII. the honorary title of minor basilica. Delicate colors mixed with lots of gold and rococo stucco characterize the interior of the church. There are also ceiling paintings with scenes from Mary's life. The high altar has four powerful columns with a large crown. The sandstone statue of the Mother of God with child gave the church its name. The church stands on a wide square that highlights the baroque style of the facade.

Festive gold, delicate colors and elegant stucco In the middle of the 18th century the historic church was completely renovated by the clergyman Franz de Paula Penz, an amateur builder. Bavarian artists as well as the fresco painter Mathias Günther and the plasterers Feichtmayr from Wessobrunn made a significant contribution to the unmistakable beauty and elegance of the church and its rooms. Delicate colors that celebrate gentle beauty in the light-flooded church interior, completed by elegant, light stucco in the form of rocailles reflect the classic grace of the rococo and are a unique experience. For the visit, except during St. Fair is always possible, a voluntary donation is requested. Wilten Basilica, Innsbruck Spacious, rich in history, and patronizing, it is considered the most beautiful Rococo church in the country and, alongside the Premonstratensian Abbey Church, the second largest church in Wilten—and also home to the famous Wilten Boys' Choir: Wilten Basilica. Hundreds of years ago, Roman legionaries are said to have venerated a unique image of the Virgin Mary at its site, the former "Veldidena." Remains of an early Christian church from the 5th century, found beneath the basilica, support this beautiful legend. And one can clearly sense that the early veneration of the Virgin Mary continues to this day. For example, the image of the "Our Lady under the Four Pillars," a late Gothic sculpture beneath the ciborium altar, is still the destination of countless worshippers today.
