A district capital worth seeing with many beautiful spots, restaurants and natural areas.

Hartberg has a beautiful old town with a special flair. For the children there is/was a small free ice skating rink on the main square and for us adults there was a super friendly punch stand.

There are many shops and inns there.

The "Nature experience - Hartberger Gmoos" gives insights into the local natural diversity. Europe-wide endangered and therefore protected species such as the blue buffalo, the kingfisher, the red-backed shrike or the greater mouse-eared bat find a home here.

Always worth a photo. Where else can you see a stone river;)
